Not Me Monday

No matter what anyone says, the following did NOT happen at our house!

This is my first try at this NOT ME MONDAY idea. I got the idea from my friend Sandy. You can check hers out at her blog www.the6steins.blogspot.com

1. I did NOT get so desperate with a sick baby who wouldn't take a nap and most certainly did NOT strap her into her carseat and lean it against the dryer so the noise and movement would lull her to sleep. She did NOT fall asleep in 30 seconds flat out of complete exhaustion. I did NOT then hear the dryer buzzer go off about 30 min. later and state to Erin, "well, that can't be a good sign," to which Lauren answered, "WHAAAAAA!"

2. I certainly did NOT let the kids give the baby a lollipop "just to keep her quiet" this week. (What "good" mom would ever do that?) Then a day or so later, I did NOT do it again because it worked so well. Duh!

3. This mommy did NOT tell her kids several times last week to get dressed and then looked down and realized, "oh, I'm not dressed yet either." Nope, not me.

4. I was NOT so worn out from a sick and cranky baby this weekend that I did NOT return home with dinner for Erin and I (everyone else was gone) and state, "crank on the Sesame Street, I'm putting her in front of the t.v. strapped in her carseat." We did NOT proceed to actually enjoy our meal together, and the baby certainly did NOT enjoy every minute of the hour long show straps and all.

5. Kade and Megan did NOT also get so weary of hearing a cranky baby on Friday, that when their friends came to take them to their house Kade did NOT say to their mom, "Miss Kelli, you are a lifesaver!" When asked why, he did NOT say, "because I am so tired of hearing Lauren cry."
