Megan Michelle

Going from youngest to oldest, my next post is about Megan! She just turned 8 years old! Until last year, she was my baby. It's is so hard to believe she is already 8! She is going as "Dorothy," from the Wizard of Oz, this Halloween. My mom made the dress for Sara when she was that age, then Erin wore it, and now it is Megan's turn. How fun!

Megan is quite a charmer. She is very full of life. Megan is a little fighter (not physically, but verbally.) This makes Sara and her relationship quite intersting! When Sara went to CA this summer, Megan was sad to see her go and with a completely serious expression on her face said, "I won't have anyone to fight with!"

Megan plays softball and loves the game! She is quite a good little ball player. Her team this year won only one game, which was hard. It builds character, though, right?

She actually likes to clean the house (except her room, which has gotten her in a lot of trouble in 2008). When I taught her to clean the toilets she said, "can I do this every time it needs to be done?" I know this won't last long, but I will enjoy it while it lasts. I think when she cleans with my supplies she feels like a big girl!

In school, she is doing very well at cursive writing and it happens to be her favorite subject. She is also a terrific reader for her age, which makes her mama very happy! She likes to go to the library and get lots of books to read!
