Today is Kade's 10th birthday. So, it is the perfect day for me to tell you all about him. First of all, he is obviously a Texas Longhorn fan (the last minute loss Sat. was painful!), so he had to have his picture taken with a longhorn at the State Fair. Kade enjoys sports, video games, time with friends, games, church activities, and eating out! I must add that he LOVES his dad! It is cool to see how he goes to Kyle for things, and wants to be with him as much as possible. It bothers him when his dad is late coming home from work, and keeps asking for him. Kade is learning to be a gentleman and takes care of all of the four girls and his mom when dad isn't home. I tell him he is the man of the house when dad isn't home! Kade's biggest passion is baseball. He plays pitcher, 1st base, and right field. With his passion for the game, mixed with some perfectionist qualities, it can get ugly sometimes. We are trying to instill in him a good sportsmanlike conduct, which is a constant training thing. No one ever said parenting was easy, though. Right? The neatest thing for me to see in Kade is his tenderness toward God. He desires to lead others to HIM, be a good example in the world, and yet is very discerning as to whom he spends the bulk of his time with. I hope this continues on!
